Falconry is one of the most exciting elements of a Living Heritage Country Show, and featured at all of them. The programme for every show is packed with excitement and wonder as these majestic birds perform their wide range of skills, whether this be a Peregrine Hybrid Falcon, performing speeds of up to 150 mph, an Eagle, gliding from one end of the arena to the other, or even the Mexican Harris Hawks, also known as the comedians of the bird world. At each and every show there will be around 50 individual birds of prey on display, so you can come and meet and photograph them as well as watching them fly.
Displays take place mainly in the Countryside Arena, but check your programme! They are also occasionally in the Andy Singleton Arena and also in the dog arena, featuring the amazing ways in which gun dogs and birds of prey can work together.
There will be a larger falconry village at Cheshire & Sandringham Shows
Details of falconers at each show to follow.
